Ethics the focus of seminar
In conjunction with World Interact Week, the Interact Clubs of Simi Valley are hosting an "Ethics Interactive Seminar" beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 1, in the multi-purpose room of Santa Susana High School.
"What may be legal may not always be ethical" will be the topic of the session featuring Chris Hamilton, CPA, of the accounting firm, Hamilton, Boynton and Speakman. Discussing the recent Tyco case, where Tyco International’s former CEO and CFO face retrial in January on charges of looting Tyco of $600 million, the audience will decide whether or not the defendants are guilty as charged.
Desserts and beverages will be served during the free seminar, and a $50 drawing for students attending the event has been provided by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset.
