The Simi Valley Second Missionary Baptist Church will host the inaugural Ray F. Fields golf tournament Mon., Nov. 1 at the Tierra Rejada Golf Club at 15187 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark.

The tournament will be played as a Team Best Ball Scramble to accommodate golfers of all skills and categories. Simi Valley Ford is donating a new car as a hole-in-one prize. The tournament will culminate in a ceremony dinner and live auction which will begin at 4 p.m.

The tournament is in honor of the late Ray Felder Fields, a spirited church member and community activist who spearheaded the drive to build the new church building and contributed many years to the church community.
