America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College will host its inaugural "Zoofari Snooze" on Fri. and Sat., Aug. 20 and 21 and repeated on Fri. and Sat., Aug. 27 and 28, on the college campus at 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark.

The event, described as a way for children and adults to learn more about the activities of nocturnal animals, kicks off with a pizza party picnic at 6 p.m. Friday followed by a flashlight tour of the zoo, with special viewings of the zoo’s nocturnal animals. Sleeping bags are required, and climate-controlled sleeping quarters will be provided. Activities include games, movie and popcorn.

Hours are from 6 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. Snacks will be provided in the morning. There is a third-grade minimum age requirement for youth participants. For information, call (805) 378-1441.
