Area youth are called to the Torah
A number of area youth have been called to the Torah recently. Here is a listing:
Simi Valley
Daniel Reshew, son of Debbie and Edward Reshew, will be a Bar Mitzvah on Sat., Aug. 21 at Temple Etz Chaim. He attends Valley View Middle School and is in the eighth grade.
Thousand Oaks
Sarah Abrahams, daughter of Karen and Colin Abrahams, became a Bat Mitzvah on Aug. 7 at Temple Etz Chaim. Sarah is in the eighth grade at Colina Middle School.
Hannah Zucherman, daughter of Inez and Mark Zucherman, will be a Bat Mitzvah on Aug. 14 at Temple Etz Chaim. She is in the eighth grade at Colina Middle School.
Marc Preston Schachtel, son of Jack and Rhoda Schachtel, became a Bar Mitzvah on June 12 at Temple Adat Elohim. He is a student at Colina Middle School and is entering the eighth grade.
Newbury Park
Kevin Gobuty, son of Renne and Richard Gobuty, became a Bar Mitzvah on Aug. 14 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks. Kevin attends eighth grade at Sequoia Middle School.
Dylan Lacoe, son of Helene and Ron Lacoe, will become a Bar Mitzvah Sat., Aug. 28 at Temple Etz Chaim. Dylan is in eighth grade at Redwood Middle School.
Vikki Nelson, daughter of Cherie and Norm Nelson, became a Bat Mitzvah on June 2 at Temple Adat Elohim. She attends the seventh grade at Sequoia Middle School.
Ryan Scott, son of Jodi Stephanie and Scott Andrew Spindel, was called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on July 31. Ryan attends The Center for Early Jewish Education in Thousand Oaks.
Oak Park
Alicia Marie Roll, daughter of Alan Roll and Marie Panec of Oak Park, became a Bat Mitzvah on June 12 at Temple Adat Elohim. Alicia attends seventh grade at Medea Creek Middle School.
Kelsey Dashefsky, daughter of Mark and Tracey Dashefsky, became a Bat Mitzvah on June 26 at Temple Adat Elohim. Kelsey will be a freshman at Oak Park High School.
