Volunteers needed
Interface Children Family Services is having an orientation beginning at 10 a.m. on Thurs., May 27 at 1305 Del Norte Road in Camarillo to introduce prospective volunteers to the challenging opportunities available.
Some of the available opportunities include assisting victims of domestic violence in English and/or Spanish at various county locations, active parenting classes, a low-cost 10-week series emphasizing effective discipline techniques, understanding children’s behavior and strategies to encourage responsibility, and problem-solving skills.
Volunteers are also needed to assist in providing information and referral, outreach crisis counseling intervention to runaway and troubled youth and their families, and to battered women and their children.
