Ventura County’s Habitat for Humanity will host its second annual Family Fun Day and Carnival on Sat., May 22 at Rancho Simi Community Park in Simi Valley.

Organizers say the goal of the event is to unite local families, volunteers, community groups, organizations, churches, local businesses and donors throughout the community under the theme of "Unity in the Community."

Proceeds will go towards funding the construction of decent and affordable housing in Ventura County.

"We are so excited that a Habitat house will be built in the heart of our community,"said local district manager Karen Mahoney. "With the houses so close to the center of our district, it makes it easy for the partners to get involved."
