Program helps crime prevention

The Simi Valley Police Department offers the community a series of Crime Prevention Programs.

Among the Crime Prevention Programs that the department will present to either children or adults are programs on: drug abuse/awareness, drunk driving, gun safety, home alone/latchkey kids, Internet safety for kids, personal safety, safety skills for children, and other subjects relevant to residents.

Also offered are Crime Prevention Programs available for presentation to adults and businesses. These include: arson and vandalism prevention, business and vacation security, burglary prevention, child abuse, crime prevention tips for seniors, domestic violence, Neighborhood Watch, school safety and many other topics of concern.

Other services that the Department provides include: home security surveys; commercial building security surveys; and crime prevention through environmental design.
