The Moorpark Chamber of Commerce will host its inaugural Top 10 Community Awards Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thurs., May 20 at Moorpark Country Club, 11800 Championship Drive, Moorpark.

The event will honor those individuals, organizations and businesses "that make Moorpark a better place to live and work," according to the chamber.

Among the award categories are: Man/Woman of the Year; Chamber Member of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year; Educator of the Year; Youth of the Year; Senior of the Year; Public Servant of the Year; Volunteer of the Year; and Service Organization of the Year.

Nominations for awards were open to the public as well as chamber membership. The nomination deadline was May 3 and winners will be recognized at the luncheon. The criteria for nominations was "clear and consistent dedication of their time and effort toward the betterment of the Moorpark community."

Cost to attend is $35 per person, $350 for a table of 10. Advance reservations are required and may be made by calling the chamber at (805) 529-0322.
