Young volleyballers triumph

 CHAMPIONS-The Royal High Boys Frosh/Soph Volleyball team celebrates their championship at the Foothill Frosh/Soph Tournament held in Lake Forest on March 27. There were 20 Southern California teams in the tournament. The Royal boys defeated three teams in pool play and three more teams in playoffs. Pool play victories were against Fountain Valley (3-0), Notre Dame (2-1) and Beverly Hills (3- 0). In playoff action, Royal defeated San Clemente (25-19) and St. John Bosco (25-22). The championship game was against Los Alamitos and the Highlanders won two-games-to-none (25-18 and 25-17).
