Tribute concert will help girl with leukemia

A host of tribute bands will perform at 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat., April 16 and 17 at the Theater on High Street, 45 E. High St., Moorpark, in a benefit to raise funds to help Simi Valley resident Allison Nicole Ray, 21, who is battling acute myelogenous leukemia. The former AYSO All-Star and Simi native was diagnosed in early January and has undergone major surgery and numerous chemotherapy treatments. She has limited health insurance, and the financial burden has overwhelmed her family, according to All in Black Productions, organizers of the "All 4 Ally" concerts.

The show’s lineup features, on Fri., April 16: Bella Donna (tribute to Stevie Nicks), Ticket to Ride (tribute to the Beatles), Pyromania (tribute to Def Leppard), Pump (tribute to Aerosmith), Space Oddity (unplugged tribute to David Bowie); and on Sat., April 17: The Who Show (tribute to The Who), Dream Police (tribute to Cheap Trick), Electric (tribute to The Cult), an acoustic tribute to Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, and Gregory Wolfe (tribute to Rod Stewart).

Tickets are $15 and are available by calling (805) 529-5884. All proceeds will go to the Allison Ray Trust Fund for hospital bills.
