The actual festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., April 24 and 25 in Kingsmen Park on the CLU campus at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. New to the festival this year is a special group of performers from Finland called "the log floater singers of Oulainen," who will perform a series of folk songs and dances that tell the history of log floating.

The Midgardr Encampment will bring to life the world of the Vikings with demonstrations of spinning, blacksmithing, leatherworking, writing in runes, combat reenactments and games.

The Sami will share their way of life with exhibits of Sami tents, authentic clothing, reindeer husbandry, knife making and joiking.
