Workshop offers ways to make divorce less stressful

2004-04-09 / Health & Wellness

The Coalition for Collaborative Divorce sponsors workshops to help individuals discover an inexpensive cooperative divorce process without going to court, thus helping families avoid unnecessary stress and extensive litigation costs. Trained professionals provide "legal, personal and financial wisdom" and address such issues as alimony, child support, tax issues and whether to keep or sell the home.

Kathy Murray, a certified divorce financial analyst with Divorce Financial Services of Camarillo, will conduct the workshop, "Take Financial Control of Your Divorce" on the following dates:

• From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tues., April 20 at Goebel Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. To register, call (805) 381-2744.

• From 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tues., April 27 at the Moorpark Community Center, 799 Moorpark Ave., Moorpark. To register, call (805) 517-6261.
