Rubicon presents ‘Earnest’
Rubicon Theatre Company will present Oscar Wilde’s witty and romantic comedy "The Importance of Being Earnest" through March 28 at The Laurel, 1006 E. Main St., in the city of Ventura’s downtown cultural district.
"The Importance of Being Earnest" is a story of young love gone awry in Victorian England. Dubbed "a trivial comedy for serious people," the play pokes fun at the manners and mores of the manor-born in Victorian England.
Leading the cast is Emmy- award-winning actress Susan Clark. Ventura native Michael Addison, who recently completed a nine-year tenure as artistic director of the California Shakespeare Festival, will make his local directorial debut with this production.
Tickets range from $30 to $45. Tickets and a schedule of show times are available by calling (805) 667-2900.
