The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is sponsoring its seventh annual Women in Construction Week March 7-13. The event is designed to increase awareness of the importance and visibility of women in the construction industry. The theme of this year’s observance is "Believe, Persevere, Dare."

Locally, the Simi/Conejo chapter of NAWIC will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tues., March 9. A speaker from Ventura County Building & Safety will address the group on National Pollution Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) rules and regulations.
