Having put the swing craze that briefly dominated alternative radio in 1998 behind them, the band now carries on the tradition of the legendary big bands and orchestras by touring nonstop, performing more than 100 retro-cool concerts each year worldwide.

The band’s performances draw audiences that span generations. Young adult fans regularly show up dressed in ’40s-era outfits and dance sophisticated swing routines.

Besides a few new songs and top hits, the band will perform yuletide classics like “Blue Christmas,” “Jingle Bells” and “We Three Kings” as well as other holiday songs like “Zat You, Santa Claus,” “Rock-A-Billy Christmas” and “Mr. Heatmiser” from the ’70s-era claymation television special “The Year Without Santa Claus.”

Single tickets are $35 to $55 with group discounts available.

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com or the Civic Arts Plaza box office.

For information about tickets, call (805) 449-ARTS (2787) or visit www.civicartsplaza.com. For more about the band, go to www.BBVD.com.
