Grace Brethren High presents ‘The Fantasticks’

Grace Brethren High School presents "The Fantasticks" at 7 p.m. Thurs. and Fri., May 12 and 13 and 1 p.m. matinee Sat., May 14 in the Scherr Forum at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Presale tickets are available at the school office at $10 for the evening shows and $8 for the matinee.

"The Fantasticks" is the longest running off-Broadway musical with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt, based on the story "Les Romanesques" by Edmond Rostand. The play tells the love story between Matt and Luisa as it unfolds with help from their fathers and drama from El Gallo.

Rachel Masie directs the show. Rachel Balich and Charles Riccardi play Luisa and Matt, with Philip Bradley as El Gallo. Other actors include Raynor Strombeck, Paul Figueroa, Mark Sherman, John Rucker, Olivia Smith and Lindsay Hanson.
