Ed Foundation raises record amount

     The Simi Valley Education Foundation raised a record $200,000 this year, $80,000 more than in previous years, officials announced recently. Foundation President Leigh Nixon credits the C-4 bond measure with raising community awareness about school needs.

     Actress, playwright and drama coach Roxanne Diesel, who has been teaching and directing youth theater for more than 13 years, nine in Ventura County, will lead two summer camps in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.
