Colleges sponsor golf classic

The fifth annual Golf Classic, jointly sponsored by Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura Colleges for Education, (MOVE) will be on Mon., May 24 at Spanish Hills Country Club, Camarillo. More than 200 community and business leaders will attend with proceeds from the fundraiser to be distributed equally among the three college foundations for use in scholarships and institutional programs.

The Golf Classic begins at 10 a.m. with registration and long drive and putting contests. The tournament begins at noon with a shotgun start. No-host cocktails followed by a live auction will be offered prior to dinner, which is set for 5 p.m.

The entry fee is $250 per player including lunch, dinner and tee package. A mulligan package is set for sale at $25. Additional dinner tickets for golfer’s guests are available for $50.

Foundation leaders are seeking corporations and individuals who would like to purchase a limited number of Golf Classic sponsorships which range from $1,000 to $15,000. Tee sign sponsorships are also available at $250. To become a sponsor, call Paul Iannaccone at (805) 654-6461.
