Simi YMCA to host Healthy Kids Day

The Simi Valley YMCA invites families to celebrate YMCA Healthy Kids Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., April 3 at the Y, 3200 Cochran St., Simi Valley. The event "celebrates how fun it is to get active," and introduces kids to special YMCA programs and activities just for them.

There will be an obstacle course and outdoor games "to draw kids and families away from the TV and into physically interacting with one another."

Visuals will include gymnastics, karate, fencing and dance demonstrations, caricatures from volunteer artists, the Police and Fire Departments, Pinkie the Clown and a skateboard safety demonstration by Skate Lab.
