Simi Valley Hospital Foundation names new executive director Lorri Adams has been named executive director of the Simi Valley Hospital Foundation. Her appointment was effective February 12. Adams, who is new to the area, said that her key role at this point is to provide the "blueprint" for raising funds—the strategies and structures that will bring contributions into the hospital. She has come from Evergreen, Colorado where she spent the last dozen years as a consultant working with healthcare organizations, religious groups and other not-for-profit community foundations throughout the northern plains states. Previously, fundraising was a key responsibility in her leadership of several YMCAs across the U.S. where she served as executive director. In the year ahead, Adams said she hopes to help the Foundation raise $500,000 to support the new Patient Care Tower project. Ultimately, her goal for the Foundation is to provide $15 million to furnish the building and purchase state-of-the-art equipment to support enhanced services offered by the hospital. |
